Can you tell Adam is Seth's son?

I've been a slacker on posting lately. Seth has arrived home safely from Kristian's bachelor party. By all accounts, they had a good time and all returned home alive so that's good.

I really enjoyed the weekend with the kids. We went back-to-school shopping Friday night getting school supplies, new clothes and shoes - thank you Missouri for the tax-free shopping. Saturday, I took the kids to the pool. Sydney met us there for a couple hours. The kids had a good time playing. And Sunday, we were bums and just hung around the house and didn't do too much. But that was kind of nice, too.

Abby has Girl Scouts tomorrow night and Wednesday night is Meet the Teacher night at school. Abby has Mrs. Brophy so that will be fun to see her new classroom and meet her teacher. Thursday night, since Missy is in town from Florida so me, Missy, Becky, Jennifer, Dawn, Katie and Julie are having dinner. I'm looking forward to that.

We don't have any plans this weekend, though, which is good since Jenny's bachelorette party is the following weekend in Memphis. That should be fun!

Seth's sister, Jess, sent me some more pictures of Seth as a baby and I really don't think there's any way Seth could deny Adam was his son. I think they look a lot alike. So as a reminder, here is a picture of Adam from this summer (this was at Rainforest Cafe in downtown Disney so I was sweaty. Ignore that part.)

And here is Seth in 1977 and 1978 as a toddler.

I think all of these pictures look like Adam in the face but especially the first one. They have the same shaped head and eyes for sure.
What do you think? :)

It's been a long couple of weeks ...

So I haven't posted anything in a while. Sorry about that. It's been a long couple of weeks. Seth's grandma, Great Grandma Arline to the kids, passed away on July 18. Seth flew to Rhode Island on the 19th and I flew up a couple days later for the services. My mom watched the kids. Got to see a lot of photos of Seth's family, many of which I hadn't seen before. Here are some...

Seth in the second grade. So cute! :)

I love old photos and thought these were neat. Thanks to Jess for scanning these in for me.

The weekend after RI is a blur so we must not have done anything major. I know work has been really busy for both of us. This past Friday night we went to dinner with Kevin and Abby, Brian and Kat, Patrick, and a few others. Saturday, Adam woke up sick with a fever so we stayed home all day. I woke up sick Sunday. Abby had a Girl Scouts swimming party Sunday. She enjoyed that. I stayed home from work today to try to recouperate.

I'm having dinner with Dawn tomorrow night so that will nice to catch up with her. Sydney and I are taking the kids to the pool this weekend as long as the weather holds out. Looks like it's supposed to. Seth is going to Tablerock Lake in southwest Missouri for Kristian's bachelor party. I hope they all come back safely. I worry with a large group of guys reverting back to their irresponsible college days for the weekend. Oh wait, what do I mean by "reverting back"? Some of them have never changed. ha ha Hope everyone is well and that Seth's family is holding up ok. You will stay in my thoughts.
